To remove unwanted creases on your Ofie Mat, we recommend that you place your Ofie Mat (still rolled up) on top of a vent at room temperature. Leave the playmat there for a few hours and you will notice the creases start to disappear!
This is due to the warm air from the vent and the neutral temperature in the room working to warm up the Ofie Mat and make it more flexible and soft. This also helps to get rid of curling and help your playmat become flat.
TL;DR (too long; didn’t read):
Cold air causes the Ofie Mat to freeze and loose its' flexibility. Place on a warm air vent in a neutral, temperate room for a couple of hours. This will warm up the playmat.
Now, go out there and enjoy your new Ofie Mat!

Here's a simple way how:
When using your Ofie Mat on hardwood/slippery floors, place an anti-slip rug pad. This will help stabilize our playmat on your floors, making it safe for your little ones as they start to explore the world around them!
Here's an example of how to use the anti-slip rug pads:

Step 1:
Grab your bag of cotton balls, or a small amount of Kleenex tissue paper.
Step 2:
Find the small hole and push a small amount of your cotton ball/Kleenex into the hole. Make sure to use as much as you need to fill the hole.
Step 3:
Hot glue the hole closed, hold for a few moments, then let cool.

My name is Chi-Chi. I am the Social Media Manager here at Little Bot Baby and I have a few products for you to take care of yourself, your little ones, and your Ofie Mat!
With so many of us practicing self isolation right now, I thought I would make a quick run to a nearby Dollar Tree and pick up some safe cleaning supplies (Here's a link to our YouTube channel in case you missed my IG Takeover!)
What I Ended Up Purchasing:
My two favourite products are the black and pink latex gloves with cuffs and the biodegradable disinfectant! Aside from wiping down my entire space, I love how the calming the scent of cherry is, especially during these stressful times.
These products are safe for you, your little ones, and for cleaning your Ofie playmat. Just a few things to remember:
That’s it from me. Stay safe, stay home, and always wash your hands!

So, your little tot isn’t so little anymore and you have a lovely play mat just collecting dust...what can you do?
An environmentally-friendly option is to resell your playmat to those who are looking for a gently-used product at a budget friendly-price. Another option is to simply donate your play mat to your local school or library. I’m sure that there will be plenty of little tots who will be more than happy to play around on a stylish, comfy playmat, whether at school or on a visit to the library!
With all of these ways to upcycle and reuse your playmat, we want to share with you all that our future as Little Bot Inc. lies with being sustainable and environmentally friendly. Our vision is to create all of our products with sustainable materials that can return to the earth without adding to the pollution. Many of todays’ products in the baby product industry are filled with chemicals that can be harmful to our precious earth, so we want to do our part to help reduce our carbon footprint as much as possible.
With companies like Adidas working on creating biodegradable TPU, a foam that Little Bot Inc. is also researching heavily, we are well on our way to creating a biodegradable Ofie play mat that grows with your child, and helps to leave the earth in a better state.

Heavy Metals
According to the ASTM-F963-17 standard, children’s product should not contain heavy metals such as Lead, antimony, arsenic, barium, cadmium, chromium, mercury, and selenium either in the surface coating or substrate material.
Ofie Mat has been tested by CPSIA-certified third-party laboratory for all of the above elements and contains none of the above.
Formaldehyde
When talking about product off-gassing, people are mostly talking about formaldehyde, it is a colorless gas that is mainly emitted from household products and building materials.
Ofie Mat has been tested by CPSIA-certified third-party laboratory for formaldehyde content and contains none.
Phthalate
Parents should be concerned about phthalate when shopping for toys and products that kids will put in their mouth, such as pacifiers and small toys. Although we are not overly concerned about kids eating our mat, we did the testing anyway just so parents have the ease of mind.
Ofie Mat has been tested by CPSIA-certified third-party laboratory for 6 different kinds of phthalate and contains none.
BPA
BPA is another concern that parents frequently have with regard to product coming in contact with food. That’s why you see a lot of products are labeled BPA-FREE on the market. Again, not suggesting that you should let kids lick food off the floor, but we are BPA-FREE too!
Ofie Mat has been tested by CPSIA-certified third-party laboratory for BPA content and contains none.
Fire Retardant
Last but not least, there is no flame retardant added to our mats in the manufacturing process.
Additional mechanical tests were also performed such as flammability, physical and mechanical testing to ensure safety of our mats. As you know, our mat is made of 100% TPU, there is no EVA or PVC. All tests are done with the entirety of the mat, meaning that everything goes into the tests, we left no stones unturned!
We hope this guide is helpful, if there are any lingering doubts you have, feel free to contact us at support@littlebotbaby.com! We are happy to share the lab reports as well!
]]>To learn which cleaner is safe on Ofie mat™, we went on a shopping trip and bought literally every single type of cleaner that we can find in a grocery store. Here is a list of them:
- 365™ All-purpose cleaner
- Method™ All-purpose cleaner
- Palmolive™ Essential Clean
- Dawn™ Ultra Clean
- Lysol™ Disinfecting Wipes
- Mr. Clean™ Multi-surface cleaner (diluted 1:5)
- Softsoap™ Hand soap
- Pure white vinegar (diluted 1:5)
Test 1: Which cleaner is safe?
To learn which cleaner is safe, we poured a good portion of each on the Triangle side of Ofie mat and let it sit for 20 mins. Then cleaned up with paper towel.
The result: All of the cleaners we tested are safe! You can use any one of them to clean your Ofie mat!
Since we have already gone so far and we were actually having lots of fun doing all the testing so we thought, hey, why not to try something more? So we did a second test...
Test 2: What kind of spill will stain the mat (orange juice, milk, coffee or the ultimate baby accident that we are all so familiar with…. Pee)
We applied some of the most common things that you could spill on a floor mat to see if they can leave a mark.
The result:
- Milk and orange juice are ridiculously easy to clean. No Stains. Simply wipe clean with paper towel.
- Coffee. Yes, coffee leaves a light mark on the mat if let it sit for 5+ mins. If you wipe clean spilled coffee immediately, there won't be a stain.
- Urine. We were expecting the worst stain from urine but surprisingly there is none. We do hear from customers from time to time that dogs' pee stained their mats if left sitting overnight.
Now we have a stain, how to remove it?
Test 3: How to remove stains on Ofie mat?
We spent hours on the test but I will make things short here. Some of the cleaners did better than the other. Turns out hand soap is a good choice. Mr. Clean multi-surface cleaner is also good if you have one at home. In our test, the coffee stain didn't completely go away but they do become less noticeable. We actually tried diluted bleach. It does remove the coffee stain but also left a yellowish mark. So bleach is not safe on Ofie mat.
Summary:
- Most of the cleaners are safe on Ofie mat. (i.e. all-purpose cleaners, hand soap, disinfecting wipe, baby wipe and diluted vinegar). Did we mention vacuum are safe as well?
- Most spills won't stain your mat, if cleaned up right away. If you do run into a stain. Don't panic. Use hand soap or all-purpose cleaner.
- Try to avoid coffee spill as it can leave marks on the mat.
- Do not use bleach on Ofie mat.
